Integrated Third-Party Authoring Tools

Best of Class

Authoring tools are used to create Learning Elements. Learning Elements are the presentations and quizzes that fill out your folders and courses. Different authoring tools provide different features and strengths. Rather than relying on a single built-in authoring tool with limited functionality, the Accord LMS integrates with any number of third-party tools. This has several advantages:

  • You can select the Best of the Class tool for creating the content type most appropriate for your training needs.
  • You can choose to publish your content to the Accord LMS, directly to the web or to DVD (depending on the authoring tool).
  • You maintain ownership of your question bank and resources.

In the example below we use products from iSpring Solutions, although many other tools may be used as well.

Requirements

  • An Authoring Tool such as iSpring Presenter or Suite. You may download a trial version of the iSpring products here: iSpring Downloads.
  • You must possess LMS Administrator access to your Accord LMS portal.
  • FTP Account Credentials in order to directly access your Accord LMS bulk SCO upload folder. Contact Accord LMS Support at: support@accordlms.com to request the FTP account credentials.

Note:  For comprehensive instructions for any of the authoring tools, please utilize the iSpring Tutorials or Support by clicking on the appropriate icons in the product UI.
