Role Based Redirection

Redirect a user to a specific page, portal or URL depending on their Role and or Team. 

This typically comes in to play when desiring for a Learner to be specifically redirected to a particular area immediately after logging in.

Redirect Page Setup

Role Based Redirection is provided by a dedicated Accord LMS Learner module which is not used for any Learner presentation. 

Example;  A landing page you desire to redirect Learners to immediately after they login.

  • Decide which page you want to use for the Redirect Page. 
  • Add a Learner module to that page and then go to the Configuration tab.

To establish Role-Based Redirection;

  • Click on the My Courses tab.
  • Once in My Courses, click on Configuration.
  • Click on the Access heading to expand this section.

Allow Redirect;

  • Select Never, Always or Only with access code.
  • Scroll to bottom and click Update to save changes.

After performing the above steps;

  • Ensure the proper Active Team is selected; should there be more than one Active Team.
  • Click on the LMS Admin tab.
  • Click on the Configuration tab.
  • Once in the Configuration panel, click on Role Based Redirection.

Initially, the Role Based Redirection List will be empty.

  • Click Add New Redirect to add a new redirection.
  • Select a Role or Team from the dropdown list.
  • Input a Redirect URL in the field provided.
  • Click the check mark to save changes.

Editing a Redirection

To edit a Role Based Redirection;

  • Click the pencil icon next to the Redirection you want to edit.

  • Perform the required modifications.
  • Click the check mark to save changes.

Deleting a Redirection

To delete a redirection;

  • Click the red cross next to the redirection you want to delete.
